2012- New Year New Goals

Posted on January 11, 2012

Hi everyone!!! I know it has been way to long since my last blog post and I know I say every year that I will get better with it but this year I promise a blog a week or else I I give something away!!!! Maybe then it will motivate me a little bit more to come and share my thoughts with you guys.

As many of you know at the end of 2011 I became Communications Coordinator for Shoots for a Cure! I am still very very excited about this opportunity and this charity and all it has to offer. I have met some wonderful people already through this chapter of my life and although they tell me how I have changed them and helped them I do not think they realize how in every session I do for SFAC how much I change and how touched I am. So to my previous SFAC clients and my future ones I just wanted to say Thank you!

Also with SFAC I have brought some changes to Sweet Dream Photos. One of my major changes I am announcing today is I am no longer photographing weddings. There are a few different reasons behind this decisions. As much as I loved being included in your special days and I was honored I was chosen, my work with SFAC does take a little more time and to balance everything I had to let go of something. I felt that the best thing to do at this current time was to let go of the weddings. I also am to the point where my children are involved in so many activities and there were a few times I had a wedding and missed a ball game or a cheer competition and had to explain to my kids that I had to work instead and although they understood, I just did not like to have to chose. So for the time being SDP will only be offering Family, Children, Babies, Seniors, Boudoir, Sports, Engagement and Bridal sessions. I hope you all understand!

Well thats all for now, until next week!!!

Shoots for a Cure!

Posted on September 29, 2011

Sweet Dream Photos is excited to announce a partnership with Shoots for a Cure (formerly known as Think Pink Photography). Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause. Recently, we changed our name and our support. We now want to support ALL cancer patients, not just breast cancer.

Through our professional photographer network, we are helping cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the cancer patient. Clients participating in a Shoots for a Cure session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, we donate and fundraise for The American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen Foundation and have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen Foundation or The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation in our name. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

Please subscribe to our blog (on the Shoots for a Cure website) and tell your friends and family about Shoots for a Cure. Awareness is everything and we can’t be successful without you.

I encourage you to view our website, make a donation, or hire a photographer that supports Shoots for a Cure! If you hire me, mention Shoots for a Cure and I will make a personal donation to the organization. If you, or someone you know, would like to schedule a Shoots for a Cure session, please contact me for details.

I am very proud to be a network photographer with Shoots for a Cure, and am anxious to get the word out about this amazing program. For more information, you can contact me, or you can visit the Shoots for a Cure website at http://shootsforacure.com

Miss Kali

Posted on June 9, 2011

In my opinion as a photographer one of the biggest compliments you can get is when a client returns again and again. Most of you may remember Kali when we did a session for Miss Oklahoma Teen USA contest. She was wonderful then and even though I didn’t think it was possible she is even more wonderful now. Kali is an ABSOLUTE sweetheart and very easy to work with! I am blessed to call her a client and a friend…..

Guess who’s back!?!?

Posted on June 6, 2011

Most of my clients the last few months have been so understanding on things that were going on in my life and understood the break that I took. I just wanted to update everyone and let you know I am starting to schedule sessions again. I am still limiting the sessions but I am taking a few appointments a week.

Thank you again for understanding the few month break and I look forward to getting back in studio! Be looking for some updated blogs this week!

Hope all is well-

Absolute Beauty- Kali Miss Choctaw Teen USA

Posted on November 4, 2010

WOW!!!
Let me tell you how much fun I had during this session!!! Kali is an absolute joy to be around! She was a complete sweetheart and honestly the easiest teenager to work with!!! Kali has it all, she has beauty, brains, personality, everything! I cannot wait to see her go on to win (yes I have confidence in her) Miss Oklahoma Teen!!!
One of my favorite parts of this entire session didn’t even happen on camera. My 5 year old daughter (who many of you have seen on blogs) came in and asked if she could try on Miss Kali’s crown and the joy in my daughters eyes when she put it on her head! She also let her try on her dress, shoes and crown and we took a few pics (Tay now thinks she has a new best friend)

Kali you are beautiful, I am proud to have met you and honored to have you a part of my life now!

OH NO- Personal

Posted on November 1, 2010

I know how horrible am I at this?!?! I swore up and down that I would post everyday, blogs galore! and look its been FOREVER since I have been here!!! I am soooooo sorry to all my readers out there (and the spammers who think they need to try to spam non-stop, really its getting annoying as far as how many spam messages I get on the blog… if anyone has any tips on how to get that to stop I sure would appreciate it!!!

Business and life have been hectic the last month or so. My babies turned 5!! I cannot believe how fast the last 5 years have gone!! The kids finished up fall baseball season and they have kept me very very busy! I have had a trash the dress session, some children sessions and some families to update you all on!

With Christmas around the corner life is going to be crazy, I would say I promise to update everyday but well lets see… not very good at that one! I do promise to get better though!! I will be updating here in a little bit with a holiday session offer that I am working on! I will only take 10 appointments for this session and it will not be like any session I have ever offered as far as what you will get!

Hope everyone is doing well

I am home-back to reality

Posted on September 10, 2010

I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I know I fell behind this past week but I did manage one blog post while I was out of town. My trip was AMAZING!!! Lots of shopping, food and walking around! When we arrived on Tuesday we shopped and walked and walked and shopped!!!! Dinner that night was at Carmine’s Italian and it was wonderful!!!!! We then went and saw Wicked on Broadway, which if you are ever in New York I highly recommend!!! Very well done and entertaining!!! Went back to the hotel and had a drink at the bar with two of my friends I know from my NKOTB adventures (one lives in nyc and the other just happened to be visiting), it was so great to see them and catch up!

Wednesday was more shopping! We went down to Seaport and walked around and ate on the pier and just enjoyed the relaxful side of NYC. Then our first subway experience…. Hmmmmm yeah it was interesting!!! (trip there almost made us want to take a cab back…. if only we were able to find one of those yellow cars afterwards!) The Open was AMAZING and everything I wanted and more! I met Nick Bollettieri not long after walking in and got to take my picture with him, we shopped a little and then on to tennis!! I didn’t realize how much I missed playing till sitting there watching it live!!! Maybe one day I will get back involved in the sport!

Thursday went by fast, little bit of shopping and then back to NJ to the airport. But of course what NY trip would be complete without the crazy cab driver who kept on falling asleep…… It was NOON, really?!?! Made for a interesting ride but we survived and here we are back to Oklahoma and reality…..

Below are pics from trip, one of Me and Nick Bollettieri and one of me and April!!
